    Asharqia Chamber discusses the opportunities and challenges of the road to 2030 within the activities of the forum «SABIC 2020»​

    ​Today, Wednesday, February 19, 2020, the Asharqia Chamber holds its sessions titled (Invest in Saudi Arabia), as part of the activities of the "SABIC 2020" forum, which was opened by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, on Sunday, February 16, and witnessed the presence of many Among the Excellencies, and officials of the largest companies in the Kingdom, in the King Abdullah Civilization Center in Al-Jubail Governorate​.

    The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul-Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, said that today the Chamber will participate in two sessions in the forum titled (Invest in Saudi Arabia), during which a group of specialists and government officials will speak.​

    He pointed out that the Chamber is trying, through its participation in the forum, to open the way for dialogue and discussion on how to participate positively in the paths of the vision of 2030, and review the opportunities, challenges, and roles that the private sector can play in achieving its goals related to investment in the Kingdom and its diversification mechanisms, calling on the business sector to attend and benefit from the present and the topics for discussion, especially since they will provide a comprehensive definition of the investment situation in the Kingdom, and also provide many treatments for financing challenges, or others, that face entrepreneurs from small and Middle.

    The session is moderated by the Secretary-General of the Banking Information and Awareness Committee in Saudi banks, Mr. Talaat Hafez, in which both the Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Eng. Saleh Al-Rashid, and the CEO of the Office of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program Office, Engineer Suleiman Al Mazrou, and the Deputy Governor of the General Authority The Investments for Investors Services and Consulting, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Suwail, and the Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Engineer Saleh Al-Salami.​

    Al-Khalidi went on to say that the second session will touch on providing a comprehensive reading of the opportunities, challenges and solutions for SMEs to motivate them to keep pace with the rapid developments that the national economy is going through, by highlighting the investment opportunities available in the procurement and operation in the Kingdom, as well as the investment environment, with a statement The roles of government agencies and chambers of commerce in identifying investment opportunities, as well as the challenges of local content in the petrochemical market and inferring success stories in local content.

    Al-Khaldi noted that this second session will be moderated by Mr. Fahd Al-Mishal, member of the Jubail Business Council, during which a group of experts and specialists will speak, as Vice President of the Local Content and Business Development Unit - SABIC, Engineer Fouad Moussa, and Director General of Investment Development at the Royal Commission in Jubail, Dr. Ahmed Bin Zaid Al Hussain, the CEO of the National Fish Resources Development Program, Dr. Ali Al-Sheikhi, as well as the CEO of Skall AQ-Norway, Professor Geer Micklebost​.
